Vancouver & District Men’s Amateur Championship

Presently the BC Golf Museum is researching the 100- year history of the Inter-Club Golf Committee (British Columbia Zone 2 and 4, British Columbia Zone 4). In the research a piece of trivia has arisen that the Museum is attempting to verify.

The V&D Men’s Championship commenced in March 1913. The championship has been held for one hundred consecutive years. Unlike other championships this event did not cease during the First World War or the Second World War. A search has been conducted for other city, regional, state, provincial and national MEN’S AMATEUR CHAMPIONSHIPS IN NORTH AMERICA. All these championships were not conducted during WW1 or WW1 and WW2, or WW2.

Can someone provide an example of another CITY, REGIONAL, STATE, PROVINCIAL, NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP that has been conducted for a minimum of 100 CONSECUTIVE YEARS?
