BC Open records
The tournament operated under the name BC Open 1926 – 1994. When the CPGA of BC no longer sponsored the provincial open championship the organization retained the rights to the name “BC Open” From 1994 – 2017 the provincial open operated under several sponsors names.

In 1965 Chuck Congdon, six time winner of the BC Open, died. To recognize his contribution to the tournament The Vancouver Sun newspaper donated a new trophy, the Chuck Congdon ) for the winner of the event.
