Rain at Royal Colwood didn’t stop us

The second annual Tradition Golf Classic – Vancouver Island was held last week at Royal Colwood Golf Club in Victoria, and while the weather wasn’t the greatest, actually it was lousy, raining most of the day, everyone had a great time. Royal Colwood is such a wonderful course, and we had it to ourselves. While the golf course was different (last year it was at Victoria GC) and the weather was different (last year it was sunny and warm), the results were the same.

Allan Manson of the Victoria GC looks over his birdie putt on the 4th hole……in the rain!

Ron Berry and his group from the Nanaimo GC (Kevin Wilson, Ron Young and Greg Badger) put on a clinic for everyone else and took home top spot again. Berry shot 69 and  Wilson shot 70, while the other two were 75 and 77 respectively) on a golf course that played long and soft. A great day of golf and friendship enjoyed by teams from Victoria, Nanaimo and the lower mainland, and we managed to raise some funds for the Golf House Society.

Our thanks to Royal Colwood for not only hosting the event but for doing a superb job of it on all fronts!
